User's Guide to the DC Comprehensive Plan

As a part of the 150th Anniversary of the Institute the Chapter undertook a project to provide a user's guide to the 900-page Comprehensive Plan. The User's guide was meant to make the plan easier to everyone to read, but particularly for ANC Commissioners, so that plan would more likely be used and followed. Committee Goals

1. Identify sources and resources for government regulations and initiatives
2. Monitor progress of government regulations and initiatives
3. Develop positions on government regulations and initiatives
4. Communicate policy positions to government officials and the public
5. Develop relationships with key government officials
6. Identify other organizations with similar professional interests
7. Coordinate policy positions and communications with regional chapters and National
8. Develop relationships with local media/press
9. Coordinate communication efforts with Communications Committee
