About the speakers:
With 13 years of experience as a project manager and project architect, Christopher Arnold, AIA, LEED Green Associate, is known as a leader and team builder. A Principal in the Healthcare studio at SmithGroupJJR in Washington, DC, his portfolio highlights his experience in state-of-the-art rehabilitation and outpatient facilities, most recently the National Intrepid Center of Excellence at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, which Christopher managed. He has an unflappable, can-do attitude that he regularly showcases when he works closely with clients. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in urban planning from the University of California – San Diego and a Master of Architecture from the New School of Architecture.

Mike Johnson II, LEED AP ID+C, has nearly a decade of experience in the architecture and interior design industry, which includes managing, organizing and coordinating project team members to meet milestones of highly detailed construction documentation and presentation schedules. Mike also observes all on-site work during construction to monitor and verify compliance with drawings and assists with the resolution of conflicts arising from the construction process. He has worked on multiple projects from residential conversions to commercial offices, law firms and U.S. government facilities. Mike holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Planning from Howard University.

If you are in the midst of the Intern Development Program and need some guidance, taking the licensing exams, looking for a mentor, want to hear what other interns and recently-licensed architects are doing, please attend the monthly Mentoring Workshop and bring your questions and concerns about IDP, the ARE, and other practice issues for this open question and answer session. New interns and mentors are welcome! Please feel free to contact Diane Leeson (Diane.Leeson@perkinswill.com) if you have any questions.
